Jesus can't be God

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom
in response to reader comment: Jesus is God!

Submitted by Sohail (United Kingdom), Oct 23, 2006 at 10:55

Here are the verses again and the interpretation:

"And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone." (Mark 10:18)

Jesus says to the man why do you call me good and then Jesus says no one is good expect God alone that means Jesus is not God because he is saying only God is good.

"Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine are not Mine, but His who sent me" (John 7:16)

This verse is saying that Jesus work is not of his own but of God. It wouldn't make sense for a God to send another to Earth.
