Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Submitted by jaime estrada (Mexico), Jul 14, 2003 at 16:57

hi to every one.

since all these religious struggles are taking place in our world especially the islamic radicalism spread around the globe i think it is time to us as christians to counter weight this phenomenon by realy examine the possibility to foster a christian reform or reemergement, through what our religion stands for equality among all men regardless of race especially love, and forgiveness . but moreover through a reconciliation among christian sects and a profound exploration of the jewish heritage of the bible to give the old testament decisive relevance as much as we give to the new. i say this because this section of the bible offers morality and search for knowledge and respect in a non-radical way.
this in combination with love, foregiveness, salvation ,compassion promoted in the new will really christianity well suited to compeat.

the message is getting re-acquanted with the biblical roots.
