...Although, you all continue to take things out of context to paint the Quran as bad, I do not do the same thing with your Bible. Although, I could easily do it with the Bible, I will not, because most people who profess Christianity lack faith in God. So beating them over the head with the Bible they are supposed to live by would not be the charater of a good Muslim. Here is the ayat(verse) in context:

Surah 9:

4. (But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term: for Allah loveth the righteous.

5. But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

6. If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah. and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge.

7. How can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for Allah doth love the righteous.

8. How (can there be such a league), seeing that if they get an advantage over you, they respect not in you the ties either of kinship or of covenant? With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you, but their hearts are averse from you; and most of them are rebellious and wicked.

9. The Signs of Allah have they sold for a miserable price, and (many) have they hindered from His way: evil indeed are the deeds they have done.

10. In a Believer they respect not the ties either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who have transgressed all bounds.

Also, this is how the Quran itself refutes that statement of spreading religion by the sword:

Surah 2

256. Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

History itself refutes that Islam was spread by the sword. In fact history shows that it was Christianity that was spreaded by the sword more so than Islam. Please read my post on " Why the Pope lies" for a short history lesson

History does not refute Islam spreading the word by sword. Your Qu'ran even supports that Islam was spread by the sword with verses suggesting the use of force and considering it morally sound to rape women and kill people.

If the Qu'ran refutes statements of war then it refutes its own teachings.

Again, the topic is not about the followers, but rather the doctrines.

You say that most Christians lack faith in God? I beg to differ, Christianity is all about completely relying on Jesus Christ, who is God. Islam, the road to Heaven requires works so it is up to the Muslim. Which requires faith? Christianity preaches faith, Islam preaches blind obedience.

Now, I need to ask you something about your faith, do you truly know Allah? Do you have a relationship with Allah? What is the greatest love that Allah has done? What is the greatest love?

You name people who are 'so called following the footsteps of Jesus' which is quite ridiculous (Bush?).

May God Bless You All.
