"offenses" against Islam

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]

Submitted by J (United States), Oct 31, 2006 at 10:21

It is offensive to me - as I assume to most Americans - that the P.C. "tolerance" of left wingers seems to have top prioirity with everyone. That "tolerance" says "now that they are here, they (Muslims) must be accommodated."

Nonsense: Now that they are here, they must accommodate our customs, language, life, the good and the bad as we have it - we owe them no more than the common decency with which we deal with each others, sadly, of lower quality than I would like..
I say: if they take offense, they should - no must - take the one clear escape: leave us for a hell hole of Muslim making.
