Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: Why didn't the pope talk about Christians?

Sohail,

if you had bothered to read the text of the speech you would see that the content had nothing at all to do with Islam, or even a criticism of Islam. The evil imams and mullahs have been stirring up trouble again. They have taken a Medieval quote out of its context in order to cause further strife towards the Christian populations that are already oppressed in countries such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and the Gaza strip, as well as other countries dominated by Islamic thugs.

The purpose of the speech was faith and reason. It was condemning attitudes in the west, especially in Europe. It was not per se, condemning Islam. However, the response from what I consider to be the usual suspects has indeed condemned the Islamic terrorists.

Before you make further comments go and read the context, and then have a good long hard think about the lies that have been told to you about what was said and why.

I will continue to back what Benedict XVI said, because he stated the truth. All of the dumb people who have gone on a rampage, and raging as though they were 3 year olds in need of anger management has proved the truth of the Medieval emperor who made the original statement. You still try to control others by the sword.
