A War on Islam?

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: Dialogue Versus the Sword

It is a common thread throughout Pipe's writings that he wishes to see the Islamist/Jihadist movement destroyed, and moderate, non-Jihadist Muslims strengthened. A call to war against "Islam" by the likes of Eidelberg and his ilk serves as a very dangerous disservice to those serious people who actually know what is needed to win this war, namely an alliance between the forces of moderation and rationality of all sides against the Jihadists, and not some suicidal Gottedamerung between Judeo-Christianity and Islam.
