Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: Balderdash, hamed!

Yes, the free speech I advocate is based on criticism and arguments.

As long as people are determined to be hostile to myself and others for something I didn't commit, I can't do anything about it, can I?

As for Khumini sayings, they do not represent Islam to me, nor does any scholar; I have my own my mind which god blessed me with.

on that note, dear Kafir, I am upset with the words of the Pope, true. I expected more from the leader of Catholic Christians. However, I do not idolize any priests, Imams or whatever. I only love my prophet whome I believe did a lot for us. I just don't think it is appropriate for you to continue to accuse this man of every crime on earth just for getting back at Muslims who you think are your enemies.

As for mosques being burned, Muslims being persecuted in your countries, what planet do you live in? Maybe your media doesn't let you know the whole truth. I personally know a student who was beaten badly after September 11. Many of our students decided to discontinue their studies in your countries after 2001.

Even before that, I was a student in the US and my friend's neighbor in the dorm called him racist remarks and called him Saddam Hussein while people laughed. My friend had to move out after harrasment didn't stop when he went to his RA many times. I was once outside my building when someone threw a big broken tape recorder from a top floor from their window, it almost hit me in the head but thank goodness it fell near my feet, I heard laughter upstairs. You think you people are angels? I am not saying you are all bad, I'm saying you are not as wonderful as you think.

Salam ( peace).
