Of course America is the problem

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: America the problem

Of course America is the problem, Ibrahim. America's always the problem. America has always been against Islam. Just look in our Declaration of Independence; it's a tirade against Islam. Everybody knows the US Constitution insults Islam. And that anti-Islamic Bill of Rights is worth rioting about. Read each state's constitution, if you want more proof. Just more anti-Muslim dribble. The pope is a CIA agent. He just says what the CIA brain implant tells him to say. In fact, the CIA created the Vatican and the mysterious, stealthy, plotting Catholic Church.

Now, let's exit Ibrahim's fantasy world, and return to planet Earth. Thousands of Muslims attend mosques day after day, week after week in the USA. New mosques are appearing in city after city. I could convert to Islam if I wanted, and my government would not notice or care. It's called ‘freedom of religion.' I know that's a difficult concept for those living in Islamic countries to understand, but we like it here.

And those thousands of Muslims who attend mosques across America do so in complete safety. Mosques are never blown up in the USA, as they so frequently are in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Who did you say was against Islam?

We bombed Christians in the former Yugoslavia to stop attacks upon Muslims in Kosovo and Bosnia. Funny thing for a country that has always been against Islam to do, isn't it?

We put our soldiers, our people, in harm's way to save Kuwait from death and destruction. Is Kuwait a Catholic country?

Egypt has received about 50 billion dollars in aid from the USA in the last 30 years or so, much of it economic aid to try to create a better life for people we thought were our friends. I suppose if we weren't so virulently anti-Islamic it would have been 60 billion.

America has been more of a friend to you than you think Ibrahim. But we're getting tired of Islamic customs like cutting peoples' heads off for fun, shooting old ladies, the riot-a-day plan, celebrating mass murder and mass murderers, etc, etc. And we didn't give you high illiteracy rates, state-controlled economies, gender apartheid and fear of scientific inquiry. You gave those things, and their consequences, to yourselves.

What would you (and every Islamic government) ever do without America to blame for all your self-inflicted problems? What a dreary thought that is: actually confronting reality. Go back to your fantasy world, Ibrahim you'll be much happier there.
