Hi Mr. Salman

I don't mean to overly adversarial because it weakens the level of discourse but, how can one adhere to a set of non specific rules.

Would the non specific nature of the rules leave them to a very wide interpretation and their for represent nothing, after all, you can't represent every side due to conflict of interest, and if you represent every thing then you stand for nothing.

I think the religious scholars have to come up with an acceptable answer to modern men. look at the catholic church for example, for the longest time they insisted that the world was flat and now they have astronomers who study the stars because the modern educated man will say he agrees that the world is flat but in his private thoughts, he doesn't believe that, and the church is slow to change but recognizes the need for change.

The one thing the church got right is that a catholic [well as many other belief systems] can pray to God from anywhere, which means Christianity can travel anywhere, although they didn't plan for interplanetary space travel either.

As you can imagine the other planet scenario also includes the paradox of sunrise to sunset fasting, what if you are on a moon base on the sunny side, as you know the sun never sets on one side and never rises on the other, since fasting assumes you would be fasting on the earth, a Muslim could never leave the earth because they would have to neglect their religious duties.

And a Muslim on another planet might not ever be able to engage in the hadge ever.

God is not in the Vatican, God is every where.

Allahu Akbar
