in response to reader comment: Islam vs. Civilization

Well put.

It is not a clash of civilization(s) as suggested by Samuel Huntington. It is indeed islam vs. civilization. You would need two civilizations to have a "clash of civilization(s)".

This reminds me of an old "Three Stooges" episode where they billed themeselves as "house wreckers" ie a demolition company. One of them asks why they weren't doing any business at the moment. The other replied, "first, we need a house to wreck". Just substitute "western society" for "a house to wreck" and "islam" for " The Three Stooges".

Unfortunately for all us, The Three Stooges were easily deterred, islam is not.
