"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

Smart pope beat all Western politicians. I couldn't think of a more concise and accurate statement to describe Islam and Muslims.

Interestingly, probably he expected Muslims' reaction that would prove his point.

The timing of the delivery was impecable.

Amazing pope.
