Quote from Sohail- "So does the Quran talk about historical text."

What exactly are you asking in the context of the response? The Quran discusses people of the book, and also has much historical context. The Quran also leaves a current message(Standing orders) of enforcing submission.

The bible and many other religious doctrines teach tolerance and love(Turn the other cheek, Love your neighbor, do not judge unless you want to be judged, forgive many more times than you are inclined to, trust God, Have faith, don't seek revenge...There are many more. God is not religious or political, man's idea of god is religious and political.

What is your point? I have made mine.
