Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: Why didn't the pope talk about Christians?

Submitted by Daisy (United States), Sep 21, 2006 at 19:33

Q.Why doesn't the pope talk about Christians in Europe and America, who are breaking the bible laws by commiting adultery, not going to church, disobeying parents, mudreding innocent people? A. He does.

Q.Why doesn't he talk about Christianity history of violence? A. He does.

Q.Why doesn't he talk about the Gnostics Gospels? A. Why should he? However, I'm sure if he chose to talk about the Gnostic gospels, Pope Benedict would be quite well informed.

Q.Why doesn't the pope try to unite all the different churches in the world? A. That's not really his work. However, he does pray for all people in the world. Do you? Maybe you could help me out Sohail? Why don't Muslims ever talk about the wrongdoing of Muslims - past and present? Very pertinently, why is there such a loud silence from Muslims concerning the attempted murder of Pope John Paul ll by a Turkish Muslim .. and an equally deafening silence concerning that Pope's extraordinary acts of forgiveness for this Islamist thug? Something tells me some more weight is about to be added to the guilty sounds of silence. The again, maybe you'll surprise me.
