Naseem, Why the hypocrisy?

There was a Muslim film on a Muslim website that showed a Jewish man taking a Muslim child, draining blood from him and using the blood to bake Matzos to be eaten during the Passover. Obviously, this was a fake film intended to ridicule the Jews. The Jews did not riot, kill anyone, threaten any lives or even register a complaint.

Pope Benedict gave a speech and quoted a statement made by Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus; "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached". The Muslims went wild, killing a Nun, rioting and demanding that the Pope apologize.

You seem like a reasonable fellow Naseem; why did the Muslims find the first incident humorous and acceptable and the second so vile that they chose to riot, kill a Nun and cause an international incident?
