Sometimes common sense has to fill in the blanks

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg]
in response to reader comment: There is still no link between Ishmael and all Muslims

Submitted by Stephen Phillips (United States), Oct 1, 2006 at 15:35

Ishmael was not part of God's plan for Abraham,Sarah, Isaac and mankind. They messed up when Abraham slept with Hagar and she gave birth to Ishmael. This is how I add it all up:

1.I'm Christian and I agree with God that children born out of wedlock are a perversion of the law. Ishmael was illegitimate and so that's a strike against him.

2.God described Ishmael as a "wild donkey of a man" whose hand would be against his brothers and their hand would be against him. When I see muslims on television foaming at the mouth, burning flags and threatening to commit mighty mayhem because they're about as stable as nitroglycerin, I'm not surprised because their father was a wild donkey of a man and the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

3.God chose to bring the gospel, material and spiritual blessings and Jesus, the savior of the world, through Isaac's side of the family. While Isaac's brother Ishmael and his descendents went out into the desert and created Allah from a statue that pagans worshipped.

4.Christianity has been a HUGE BLESSING to the world since it began and up to this day. Islam has been a HUGE CURSE to the world since it began and up to this day.

5.Christianity is a religion of truth and love. Islam is a religion of lies and violence. Just read the Koran.

6.The world has benefitted greatly from Christianity but has suffered greatly because of Islam.

7.Christians are, for the most part, open minded and tolerant of others. Muslims are closed minded, intolerant and proud of it.

8.Christianity preaches self control and not only personal responsibility but love and responsibility toward all people on earth during all times. Muslims let it all hang out, lie about everything if it suits their purposes, have no love and regard for anybody and blames "christians" and "infidels" for all the boneheaded mistakes that they commit right and left.

I could go on by I have enough evidence to make my choice:

DOWN WITH ISLAM. UP WITH CHRISTIANITY!
