It's time to take a hard nosed, i.e. "logical" analysis of the 72 virgins promised each "Martyr" According to the Koran a man is consigned a total of four wives and also condemns adultery or sex outside of marriage. Suddenly, these so called martyrs are to have seventy nubile virgins awaiting them in paradise where they will, obviously engage in sex outside the strictures of marriage right there in front of Allah and all the Houris populating paradise.

Under the best of circumstances, sex with a virgin can be messy and what sane male would want to endure this circumstance seventy two times. Now, the as yet untrammeled virgins, must wait patiently for their turn to come, Lets see, that would compute as one sex session about five times a year. Remember that Viagra and other sex enhancing potions had not put in their appearance so there were no "boosters" available. No doubt, after first tastingf the forbidden fruit, no young maiden will want to wait around for over two months for her Marty to come again. Frankly I believe there would be some "out sourcing" going on. For my part, one loving wife with ongoing urges is far more satisfactory than would be some nameless virgin forced into a situation about which she has no choice or option to say "NO" As best I recall, there is a word in the dictionary which defines the situation and that word is RAPE

Sometimes, viewing a subject from a humorous standpoint, brings clarity . E.J.S.
