I have to agree with Ashley's article that she has written. I am a White Female, and not to mention I'm also German. No, I wasn't born in Germany, I was born here in the United States.

When I was in grade school, around 5th or 6th grade, I remember there would be a bunch of kids who would make fun of me and some of my other classmates who were german, and they started calling us names. We have been called many things from jew haters, to being the devil's offspring, to being called murderers. The whole time that these kids were making fun of us the teachers just stood there like nothing was going on..

I was offended and I was scared, I didn't want to go back to that school. I didn't want anyone making fun of me. I told my parents about what has happened and my parents called the school, the school literally told my parents on the phone it wasn't considered racism.

basically I'm still being judged for the stupid actions that other germans did in the past. I have no relations to hitler or anything, but yet it's like I'm automatically considered a nazi just because of my german background. this is a form of racism, not all germans are evil, we are just viewed as being evil because of the actions of the past, everyone focuses on the past.. Things have happened in the past, but we have learned from them as a socitey and have chaged.

I have seen so many people in college get these national lation funds, or national african american funds for college and I say to myself, isn't this a form of racism. the only reason that these students are getting these funds or scholarships is because of their race. They are treating these students different because of their skin color.. which is the definition of what racism is...to treat someone different based on their race.

I hang around many blacks in college, and they like to have me around them. But yet even when I'm sitting with them they still talk about whites and how they hate whites, with me sitting with them right there. How rude is that.

There is one phrase I remember that Martin Luther King said. He said " I WANT TO BE THE WHITE MAN'S BROTHER, NOT HIS BROTHER IN LAW"

why can't everyone just stop discriminating against everyone else, and just live in peace like DR. King wanted.
