in response to reader comment: Obama is lying about his Islamic past! WHY?

I am an independent voter. I have voted for as many Democrats as I have Republicans in the past. I always vote for the person. I am a former Air Force veteran having served under Reagan and Bush Sr. I have looked at McCain and Clinton and Obama closely and I have one main problem with Obama.

I have personally seen a picture of Richardson of New Mexico, Clinton and other Democrats at a function that was held outside. Obama was there with them in the picture. During this event the National Anthem was played and the American Flag was waving on a flag pole in front of them. Someone took a picture of the group during the playing of the National Anthem and everyone of the candidates were looking up at the flag with their hand over their hearts, an appropriate gesture for civilians. It symbolizes respect and honor not only for the flag and the nation but respect and honor for everyone who has ever given their lives in defending the flag.

If you look at Obama in the picture, he is not looking up at the flag. He is looking down and away from the flag and he does not have his hand over his heart-he has his hands folded in front of him. To me, especially with him being a federal employee (Senator) that is the most shameful and disrespectful act anybody can do during the National Anthem. He not only looks to be disrepectful and ashamed of the Flag but also of America as a whole. How can anybody serve in the military and try to serve and respect this president as commander-in-chief if he is disrespectful and ashamed of them and the Nation they serve? Like his own wife said recently, during this campaign, she is proud of her country (the United States) for the first time in her life. It seems her husband is still ashamed. Shame on him!!!!! I will never vote for Obama!!!
