Taqiyya: is a shiite concept, not a muslim one

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?
in response to reader comment: Obama oxymoron: A Muslim cannot become a Christian.

Taqiyya: (dissimulation) is a shiite concept and behavior appeared in the middle age to avoid persecution from the sunni majority, especially among the Septimanian (Druzes, Alawis and other muslim minority groups). So, it can not be featured as typically muslim.
