He isn't a Muslim? A rose by any other name...?

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by Joseph Guida (United States), Feb 27, 2008 at 21:28

A person who avoids discussing religion in today's religiously-stressful environment, who dumps his name of Barry, a good Judeochristian name (more Judeo than Christian), adopts a middle name consistent with a Muslim male, and presents himself to the electorate with THREE OUT OF THREE Muslim names is probably a Muslim at heart. We do not need a Muslim president AT THIS TIME. It would send an unfortunate message at this time...a time when the Muslim world would view it as a victory over the USA.

Other than this, I have no problem with a Muslim president, as long as he renounces his faith before Inauguration!!! ...
