Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by glovideo (United States), Dec 24, 2007 at 16:15

Barack has changed his statement from "I was never a Muslim," to he "was never a practicing muslim". He admits in his book that he went to muslim school and this article documents his teachers, friends and acquaintances, all stating that he did go to Muslim schools and was registered aa Muslim in both the christian school and the muslim schools that he attended.

If we want truth we have to stick with what is true - we cannot spin it. I also do not believe the public should hold anything against any religion. However, to deny something to attain power - to lie - does not make a person truthful. No one should deny or be ashamed of their background.
