On the subject of G.W. Bush and islam

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?
in response to reader comment: Obama? Why?

It is strange, almost funny that Obama's integrity should be called into question for having family members who follow islam, while statements are made like the following:
"Yes, Bush may not be a "good" speaker but at least I know he isn't tied to the Islamic faith."
Actually, look at his business holdings. Look at his money. Look at who he, as a businessman owes favors to and has done favors for. This is putting aside any presidential decisions he has made. G.W. bush has more connections to interests that happen to be also Islamic than the VAST majority of the population, including without a doubt Obama.
If you BELIEVE that G.W. Bush's business and financial interests were insufficient to cause a conflict of interest, it is ludicrous to believe that this information constitutes a conflict of interest.
I agree wholeheartedly that we should ALL look for the truth. We should look for ALL of the truth on all sides, about G.W. Bush, about Obama, and about McCain.
Who are these people, what were their actions, their opinions before they became presidential candidates? Look at both candidates with the same analytical eye. Divorce yourself from the spin and look for the root of things. Making choices based on fear mongering is just plain stupid.
