Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?
in response to reader comment: An honest and objective view from a Non-White Non-Black American

This long-winded and illogical comment, full of inaccuracies and links to multiple outright slanders only serves to remind me how much I admire and welcome Obama's clean, straightforward rhetoric and cool, thoughtful demeanor. It's almost as if BB thinks that spewing MORE and MORE words (whether true or not) will make his paranoid fantasies into reality by sheer volume. This is not the force of reason, only the online equivalent of the boor who shouts his opinions loudest at the bar.

As for the "Islam says you can't convert "argument ... this is America, people. We do not compel religious belief or affiliation. It's a completely specious argument. (The only kind, apparently, left here. Because there isn't any there there, as they say.)

Let's hope most Americans continue to think for themselves and maintain rationality in this, the most important election in our lifetimes ... perhaps the most important since Lincoln's second term.

Stop churning up fear and rage. Go to the source. Obama's voting record is an open book. And we know more about his life than ANY candidate in the last 100 years! He's been frank and forthcoming. Read his writing. Listen to his speeches FOR YOURSELF, all the way through. Set aside your fears and your predjudices and LISTEN before you judge based on slander and media bull.

Obama's candidacy offers America an opportunity to redeem the disaster that has been the last 8 years. Let's be sane and sensible, and take that opportunity and make the most of it, together.
