What is happening to us? Every Christian is not a Crusader. Every Muslim is not a Jihadist. There was no Al-Quaida in Iraq till we created one. Even if Obama were a Muslim or for that matter a Mormon, we Americans should look at strength of his character, not the church he belongs to, his ability to lead us to a better future and not where he was born, his sense of fundamental human rights and not whom he believes to be his creator, his loyalty and devotion to America and not Africa or Indonesia. It is the courage of his conviction and not the color his skin that should be the litmus test for electing him over others.

Because of our hypocritical and corrupt government, our greed and lack of tolerance we have become the butt of jokes around the world. We may be literate but not educated, we may have a high standard of living but not a high standard of regard for humanity, we have material wealth but we have lost our values of honesty, integrity and fairness. After 9/11 we had the support and empathy of the world but because of our arrogance we ended up with a very tiny so called "coalition of the willing" Anyone who has read the history of the fall of civilization knows that the common denominator for the fall of all great civilizations was and is "ARROGANCE".

I believe Obama, a straight forward, dedicated young American has the courage, the will, the tenacity and the energy to change the direction of our present day lobbyists led policies, and reestablish a government of the people, by the people and for the people as depicted in our Bill of rights and the Constitution, thus regain the respect of the world. Our military men and women, particularly the officers should take a mandatory course in world history, not just battle history.
