Obama is a good guy

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by Jimbo (United States), Jan 1, 2008 at 15:24

Its possible that Obama made an inaccurate statement about his childhood, but the bottom line is that he was raised by a Christian mother and in many Islamic countries it's a lot simpler to declare yourself a muslim if you have a muslim father. It simplifies things and you have more freedom.

Obama is a more honest and down to earth candidate than many in the democratic race, but the best candidate to be President is John McCain. America needs a man of his intelligence, experience, vigor and class at a time like this.
