Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

The religion of his father or step father has absolutely nothing to do with Obama regardless of what Islamic law might say. Many people are born into one religion or another and upon reaching adult life choose another path that suits them which is what Obama did (he chose Christianity). Roman Catholic law says that once you are baptized you are Catholic forever ("once a Catholic always a Catholic") however as millions of lapsed Catholics can tell you nothing could be further from the truth.
