A Presidential candidate hiding his Idendity is pre-betraying the Nation.

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by Norma Fares (Lebanon), Dec 26, 2007 at 16:58

The Presidency of the United State of America is much bigger and important than a candidate [trying] to hide how he was raised and/or who he is. Why hiding? Why ignoring? Why misconducting?

If the reason of such behavior is to mislead the American People, that is to be considered a National betrayal for Dishonesty.

After 11/09, the big challenge of America is to face courageously some dangerous- serious efforts from inside America to change the Identity of America that has given (and still) enough "freedom" for whose abusing-democracy- people to start "building" for their-United-State-of-America where the possibility to live in another or more suitable environment than America is open for all.

So Why stay in America..more over, Why Insisting to stay in a country that does not reflect/match [their] lifestyle?

To Obama I would say: If you are Muslim. Say it. You do not have either to justify it or to reply with yes, no, maybe...I do not know, I've never practiced Islam... Trying to hide the truth of your background helps creating doubts, mistrust and may be hiding some hided goals??

Until, these enquiries are clarified, [utmost] Alert and Awareness is needed in America for the sake of the People of America and the rest of the World.

Thank you Dr. Pipes for this useful article.
