Is the risk worth it?

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by No Name (India), Feb 6, 2008 at 09:57

I do not understand how America can elect Obama when they have to even question whether he was a muslim or not? I mean it is not about having to prove that they are fair to everyone no matter what religious beliefs...it is about empowering a person or putting him into the highest office....with that question still lingering on people's minds? Would they take such a big risk just to prove that they are above all of it?

We all know most terrorist groups are muslims and they are all probably praying that he gets into the office. Who knows?!!

PS: I am neither Black nor white nor muslim nor christian not an american either ...I am just a person scared of the consequences.
