in response to reader comment: Disgusted.

Acillia, I am Kenyan, Barak was not born in Kenya, Hawaii is a US state. Dont expose your ignorace. It is soo hard to think that a country like the US with its free elementary, middle and high school education still has such of a huge percent, almost 50%, of people who will not think outside the box. If you (Americans) want to regain international respect, you will need to not so much accept a black president, but change your reasoning about people that are non-white. The USA was originaly native american, even white people were guests. Where do Republican's come from with this hoity toity attitude masked mainly in Christianity and no facts whatsoever that he was not born in the US? PS...where exactly was McCain born, if we are splitting hairs?

I am a born again Christian, carry a healthy suspicion for any government, plan to be law abiding, and Barack Obama worn with a huge majority so there.

Some of the statements uttered by the GOP VP running mate and the reaction they spurred out of the crowds ought to embarrass any self respecting American. 'off with his head?' 'he is a muslim?" So an American born muslim could never ran for office? The Sept 11th terrorists were Islamic extremists....now I would hold other Muslims to account by asking, why do you not speak out against this extremist faction in you faith, not maligning the whole faith. Might I add, Jesus loves Muslims....they are fertile land for conversion.....are our actions as the leaders of Christianity in the world reflecting the heart of Jesus? How many non-Christians do you think recieved Jesus in there hearts during this campaign? Remember that is the great commision to Christains....we sucked...we wre prejudiced. This was the fire and it brough out the worst in the Church in many peoples opinion. I thing the Church lost ground, and I thing, we Christians should regroup and before we throw our support behind anyone....whether well spoken or inadequate......think really hard what these choices do to the body of Christ.

Submitting....
