Funny choice of words....Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim? Submitted by Scott (United States), Sep 16, 2008 at 17:36 "My golly, how far has the USA fallen, where obvious liars are coddled even by their opponents? How much worse can it get ? How dumbed down can the USA become ? How many lies can float about, where it seems most the population, although swamped and doused with media on the very subject can't make heads nor tails of it ? Man, how disappointing." Excellent question. Why is this insipid rumor about Obama being a Muslim still being debated as if it were anything other than utter lie. Funny how there is nothing whatsoever to indicate that he is or ever was a Muslim. And don't point at this article. The "evidence" we can find here has been desperately plucked from a sea of facts that refute and contradict this lie. Obama is not a Muslim. You can try to pound this particular round peg into that square hole all day long. It won't ever be true. All of which makes me wonder the same questions you asked above about you and people who continue to think Obama IS a Muslim. Its a made up story, trying to find a way to attack a canidate who frankly has an excellent and upstanding character. "Jimbo, not you, you we're trying to be too nice perhaps, but in general - the populace seems to be filled with either incompetent morons, or planned and plotting and wiling liars, liars that lie at least as much as the politicians supposedly do." Again, well put. Ironically so, since I think it applies more to you folks who believe this nonsense and the bigotted whisper campaign whose been circulating it. Are you just desperate to believe something you consider wrong about the candidate that you ignore all the facts that contradict the theory?
