Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by umerkhalid (Kuwait), Sep 24, 2003 at 19:05

Indeed most of the world is scared of the menace of terrorism .In the western world and for the countries which are the true allies of america the alternate word for terrorism has appeared as 'islam' which is unfortunate.
islam cannot be made responslble for what is happening in the world at this moment.
the question is why. in my opinion the reason for islam to become violent or the west experiencing them as violent are (some) as blelow:-
_ every one knows what were the true intentions of USA invading iraq, at least they were not to eradicate terrorism from there or get rid of saddam even, it was nothing but ,...........OIL...!
-India and israel both have joined hands to fight against "terrorism" but every one knows that this is nothing but a love for common interests rather a response to the SOS calls for each other.
islam is tolerant but unlike budhism and christianity it does not suggest its followers to forward their other cheek after being slapped on the frst one.
bassically if islam is weak and hostile today it is not the fault of islam but because of its followers and the rest who have an eye over its natural resources ,.....which are direly needed to ........keep the wheel rolling.
