Islam and the Eastern World Cannot Co-exist Either

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Sam Simha (United States), Aug 10, 2002 at 20:14

The destructive history of Islam against Hindus and Buddhists has demonstrated that it has never co-existed peacefully with the Eastern World. Today, Islam is a dangerous destabilizer in S. Asia and E. Asia; only the Chinese seem to be able to deal effectively with their own brand of repressive tactics.

Mr. Pipes, the broad consensus of your reactive readership is increasingly puzzled by your insistence that Islamism is not mainstream Islam. History is against you, I believe. I may be willing to agree that the majority of Muslims are moderate, but that is in spite of Islam and not because of it.
