The mild Koran is superseded by the harsh

The Koran contains conflicting teachings. The earlier teachings are more tolerant than the later malevolent ones. Mohammed had hoped that Jewry would convert to his theological concoction. Its refusal embittered him, eliciting the vile later teachings. Unfortunately, these latter teachings prevail, superseding whatever might be construed as more humane.
