The task that Mr. Pipes says that needs to take place sooner rather than later - and I agree with him on this point - is best placed into the category of, if it doesn't happen, what is our back-up plan.

For when you take a look at the Koran, no deviation is allowed. Either you are with the faithful, or you are with those who dwell in spiritual darkness. Given that outside of the Islamic civilization, we have seen changes take place in the roughly 1400 years since Mohammed. These changes, as seen through fundamentalist Muslim eyes, are a breaking with the past and are the equivalent of apostacy.

What strategy and tactics are to be employed?
