Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: Question for DR. PIPES

Lets take a look at what you have said z. You say that Islam does not encourage beating women but it says its ok to beat them lightly as a last resort. That is encouraging it! Just because its not step one doesn't mean its not encouraging. The fact is it says its ok. So we have cleared up that women are not equal in Muslim culture. If you don't believe then answer this, can a woman beat a man if he does something wrong?

Muslims fight to defend themselves. Interesting that most of the oppenents they choose to fight are noncombatants. They defend themselves through cowardly means with actions towards innocents. My friend they fight because they are scared. They only defend themselves against those they have wronged. Its not defending when you start the fight. Now we have cleared up that Islam is not peaceful.

You say America is not free. You can say anything you want and you will not be persecuted. This is shown by protests that are not met with violence. This would never happen in a Muslim nation. America allows you to live by your choice. Muslim nations do not. They fear this. Sure there are things that are against the law. All nations have rules and laws. Our nation has more freedoms than any other. Another point is that under our laws gay marriage is not recognized. Your comments earlier say that we have gay marriage. Please educate yourself on Americas laws before commenting on them. So now we have established that America is a free and peaceful country a beautiful example of this is Jews, Muslims, and Christians living and worshipping legally in the same community.

You say there are no Muslim countries. Then you say Islam is more Modern than the west because they enforce what is right. Who enforces these ideals? The governments. So you must be admitting that these governments are acting on the behalf of Islam. Now we have established that the war torn hate filled countries of the Middle East are truly Muslim countries and are ran by Muslim establishments.

Here are my major problems with Islam. It is a religion of judgement. A religion of hate and fear. They seek to change those that are different and if the "infedels" don't convert they are met with violence. The very essence of Islam fears diversity. Ignorance is its foundation and hate is its message.

Lastly you say that in the west we fear death. Muslims do not. Why then did the great Muhammid flee persecution? The prophet of the infidel Christians would not flee and he was crucified. This is an interesting concept. The very teacher of your faith lacked conviction. He was a coward as are his followers. If Islam doesn't fear death and has no love for this world then I say grant its wishes ...
