Re: Mild Islam

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Hariharan (United States), Jul 31, 2002 at 11:10

There is no such thing as "mild Islam" and here is why:

1. An islamic society practices "sharia laws" and follows "sayings of Muhammad" which are called "hadiths" and "doings of Muhammad" called "sunna" to the T.

So, when the society follows those 7th century stone age traditions, like chopping hands off, stoning of people then where is the question of "mild islam"; in fact, anyone preaching mild islam is considered a heresay and immediately condemned and issued a fatwa.

2. Islam follows this to the T as well. That is the concept of "darul-harb" which is the abode of "infidels" and "darul-islam" which is the abode of believers, in this case, only Allah. Usually, where muslims in "darul-harb" they are supposed to resist the local laws(jehad) and convert everyone to the belief in Allah, etc. For instance, in India, muslims have their own personal family laws allowing for multiple marriages but surprisingly the islamic clergy doesn't prefer 'sharia laws" for the muslims only.

In scandinavian countries, there is already a slow and steady climb of muslim population and in some countries, the muslim population demands a similar "muslim personal law" in the guise of 'accomodation' to the muslim minorities.

Once the population in these countries reach 50.0001% muslim, immediately, there is a clamor by the muslim population for declaring the country an "islamic state" with sharia/hudood laws, etc.

The civilized world would learn a lot by studying Indian history where muslims invaded Hindu India and converted huge number of people to Islam through brute force. There was even tax on non-muslims in Hindu India during the period of mughal(muslim) rule.

So, the modus operandi in current world environment is this:

1. immigrate to western countries
2. multiply population
3. demand "self-determination"
4. declare islamic state

I hope the western civilization understands this post 9/11.
