Quran is revealed 1400 years ago for ALL!
Prophet Muhammad, the last of God's messengers, received the revelation of the Qur'an through a special messenger sent by God for this purpose: the Angel Gabriel, who recited to him God's words exactly.
Most of the brains in this material world use this verse from Quran (Surah Taubah) to show that Islam is Terrorism. This verse, often called "the verse of the sword".
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." [Al-Qur'an 9:5].
Again look at the very next verse!
"If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah. and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge." [Al-Qur'an 9:6].
The Almighty Allah says this in the context of the War. This verse refers to the Pagans unilaterally broken the peace signed with Muslims. It clearly commands the Muslims to protect those who seek peace and are non-combatants. It is a specific verse with a specific ruling and can in no way be applied to general situations. The command of the verse was only to be applied in the event of a battle.
Hey human beings, Don't you see the mercy, peace and security emanating from these words?
In order to gain a proper understanding of many verses in the Holy Quran, it is important to understand and know the historic context of the revelations. So many revelations in the Holy Quran came down to provide guidance to Prophet Muhammad and the fellow Muslims based on what they were confronting at that time.------------
