thank you, George, for pointing out the discouragement of slavery in Islam...that hadith is pretty self explanatory. i would like to point out that the countries you are referring to are not Islamic, because as i have stated in many of my arguments, the is no true Islamic country in the world which truly follows Islamic Shariah (islamic law). the enslaving of prisoners of war is legal, though; if the men of a people who have fought against Islam are decided to be put to death, it is acceptable to put their women and children into slavery...it is best for them compared to killing them, as they will live and learn in an Islamic environment. but you are absolutely right on the general ruling of free men in regards to slavery in Islam, and i thank you for pointing that out.
