Islam As Ideology As Opposed To Religion

As a Muslim I must say that Islam as an ideology is different to Islam as practiced as a religion. The latter are Muslims and are no different to Christians, Hindus and Jews. The former are Islamists and no different to Nazis and Communists.

As a Bengali, we have tasted the bitterness of Islamism in 1971. The infamous year in which the 'Islamic' Pakistani army and its Islamist allies (razakar) went on the rampage and killed some 3,000,000 Bengalis and raped hundreds of thousands of women, mostly fellow Muslims. Forever destroying the concept of 'Islamic brotherhood,-an Islamic injunction.

Islamism is the wost thing to befall Muslims. Islamists forget the Qur'anic injunction 'la ikriha fideen' or no compulsion in religion. They are little better than Nazis.
