Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: Jesus is a prophet in Islam??

Submitted by Shinto (Canada), May 26, 2006 at 11:14

Mohammed down played Jesus's role in the bible. for many reasons
1) The Torah Prophesized Jesus (not Mohammed)
2) Jesus performed Many many many miracles that no con-artist can ever reproduce (yeah right can Mohammed raise someone who's died for several days burried and all)
3) Jesus's teachings is so profound that even the Hindu's and Buddist started to appreciate his teachings.
4) Mohammed wants to make people forget of Jesus.
5) Jesus' teachings Contradicts everything that Mohammed stands for
6) Jesus was humiliated and not made into a "king figure" Mohammed had too much pride so he made all prophets appear as princes.

The original attempt made by Mohammed was to get the Christians to accept him ( My God is your god)
then once they are in his folds he brainwashes them to forget... Alas even back then those people did not convert. Most of the Conversions were forced conversions. When your life is threatened they no longer need to remind you who the superior prophet is.

Jesus saved us through his humiliation. Mohammed rose "prophet hood" by honoring him.
This is also why Muslims would attack you if you insult their prophet. but if you insult a christian they just turn the other cheek.
