Virtue of Being Modern

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Saleh R Shahid (United States), Sep 28, 2002 at 00:23

Mr. Pipes, I don't know what religion you are, but "modern" is only a virtue in that godless religion of secularism. There are no sacred religions or texts that preach modernization. Jews and Christians may have "changed their minds" about such things as paying interest, adultery, and death sentences, but God does not change His mind.

You see Mr. Pipes, minds change when people realize their mistakes, but God is never wrong. So build your modern world, feel proud and mighty, then return to dust like the rest of us. In the end, you still have to answer to Him.
