A Wahhabi argument away from shooting their guns
Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Thank you for opening a dialog on this subject. My view is that the evil IS Islam. I hope that I am wrong and would appreciate comments from you or your readers that will enlighten me. But this is how I see it: In the context of the Muslim religion the Islamists have truth and logic on their side. There are not only verses in the Koran (two of which you cite) but there is the example of the founder Muhammad who was guilty of murder, robbery, extortion, slavery, and genocide. In a religious argument an Islamist would eat the lunch of any benign moderate Muslim. Consequently, Muslims, moderate or not, are walking around with a loaded gun pointed at the heads of their non Muslim neighbors. And they are only a Wahhabi argument away from pulling the trigger -- an argument which by force of logic they must lose. Nice people do not point loaded guns at their neighbors heads. Nice people cannot be exonerated from doing un-nice things out of ignorance. Carl Bitzer Kenner LA
