Islam is political-military-religious movement

With All Due Respect,

Sir, I do not have your education, and greatly respect the wisdom you have always shown in regard to these issues. However, it would seem to me that arguing Islam's alleged historic moderation has no bearing on the present situation for two simple reasons:

First in my mind is the fact that the failure of the Islamic world at large (if it can truly be classified as a failure) to condemn the barbaric acts of war committed against the United States, Israel, the Philippines, India, China, Russia, and Christians and others in the far east amounts to tacit support. In this vein we cannot overlook the fact that Saudi Arabia openly supports this war against the civilized world, and may in fact be directing and leading the assault. And Saudi Arabia guards the shrines of Islam.

Second, we don't have time to wait for Islam to change course. The practitioners of this barbaric movement are actively planning the slaughter of millions or perhaps hundreds of millions of innocent people all over the globe.

In conclusion, I would just like to add that I believe that calling Islam a religion is showing a deference it does not deserve. I believe Islam should properly be classified as a political-military-religious movement that is hostile to the west and other civilizations, period. The only way to protect ourselves from such a movement is to neutralize it.
