The evidence proves Islam is not a peaceful religion

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by joseph Abdel Wahed (United States), Sep 10, 2002 at 02:53

Nearly one million Jews, indigenous to nine Arab countries, were ethnically cleansed between 1945 and 1970. They lost everything: homes, bank accounts, school friends, memories and their rich, 3000 year old cultural heritage.

Now, there are less than 8,000 Jews left in the Arab world, most of them in Morocco.

Most of the expelled Jewish refugees ended in Israel where they helped forge a stong democracy. Also living in Israel are 1.2 million Palestinian Arabs, unlike the Judenrein in the Arab world.

Jews under Islam were brutalized in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Libya. They were a tolerated minority everywhere in the Arabs world. In 1947, an Egyptian law made it compulsory for companies to hire 75% "true" Egyptians, meaning only Muslims, not Christian or Jews.

Many other examples of the Muslim's treatment of minorities exist, including Bahais, Kurds, Sudanese, Christian Copts and of course, Jews.

At times, Jews and Christians were respected and treated relatively well. But this was the exceptian rather than the rule.
