Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: Islam is no less "evil" than Judaism and Christianity

Leah, regardless of what religion you are, you have made a fundamental error in your comparison of these religions.

The Hebrew and Christian bibles do have quite a great deal of "violence" in them. However, we are talking about writings that were made in a up to and possibly over 5000 years ago. Civilization, if thats what you want to call it, was quite different then. Eye for an eye, Lot sleeping with his daughters, and even the Prophecies of St. John were at a time when the human race was just learning to be civilized.

It is clear that even the most reverent Jew would not procreate with his daughter as Lot did, nor would the most fervent Pope make an oration concerning the damnation of non-catholics. The point is that Jews and Christians realize that the stories told in their holy books need to be taken in context reletive to the time in which they were written. Islam, however, was created less than 1500 years ago... and contrary to Judaism and Christianity, Muslim extremests (i.e. true muslims) claim that their Koran is relevant, word for word, today.

Please believe me when I tell you, that Muslims throughout the world act much different when they are in the majority. Just thank your G-O-D (who or what ever that may be) that you have never had to live in a muslim controlled country. The problem is, however, that the more people like you (ignorant to true islam, and sympathetic to "peaceful" muslims) there are, the easier it will be for Muslims to achieve their final goal. Infiltration and destruction. Go live for one year, no.. one month, in any muslim country. See your rights slowly ripped from you, and watch people spit in your face because of a cross you wear. Then come and tell us how there are good and bad in every religion.
