All religions have a dark side

Whatever religion you decide to dissect will show a violent nature. Reading these texts and understanding the time periods in which they were written is essential. Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus and so on, all have elements that are unappealling. The religions all have excellent lessons on spirituality, human interaction, love, family, and life in general.

It is the evil people who use religion, which to many is all that they have, and manipulate the poor in the name of their god. To me Good is a translation of God. So if you are an athiest and you do good then you are "religious".
