in response to reader comment: THE BOOKS OF HADITH AND QURAN DISCOURAGE WAR

The book of Hadith discourages Muslims to do evil even against non-Muslims: (Book #026, Hadith #5570)-Sahih Muslim 'Nafi' reported from 'Abdullah that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: A WOMAN WAS PUNISHED BECAUSE SHE HAD KEPT A CAT TIED UNTIL IT DIED, and (as a punishment of this offence) SHE WAS THROWN INTO THE HELL. She had not provided it with food, or drink, and had not freed her so that she could eat the insects of the earth.' Is the cat as mentioned above to be considered as a Muslim? Certainly, this cat could not even believe in Allah and there is no justifiable reason to assume that this cat should be considered as Muslim. Despite the cat is not a Muslim, that woman that does evil against it has to be thrown into the hell as mentioned above. Let's replace the word, cat, as mentioned above with the word, non-Muslim. The above sentence would turn up to be 'a woman was punished because she had kept a non-Muslim tied until he died, and (as a punishment of this offence) she was thrown into the hell.' Or in other words, the book of Hadith is against Muslims to do evil. Despite the cat is non-Muslim, the Book of Hadith prohibits Muslims to do evil against it. Likewise, it certainly opposes Muslims to do evil against non-Muslims, such as, capturing the non-Muslim soldiers and causing them to be starved to death and even torturing them; or to cut their flesh off so that they would slowly bleed to death; or etc. The same is mentioned in the Quran verse below: ( سورة القمر , Al-Qamar, Chapter #54, Verse #3)-Mohsin Khan translation: 'They belied (the Verses of Allah - this Qur'an), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled (according to the kind of deeds: good deeds will take their doers to Paradise, and similarly EVIL DEEDS WILL TAKE THEIR DOERS TO HELL).'
