Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Allen Bessanson (United States), Mar 26, 2006 at 23:51

The biggest difference between Islam and Bible Christianity is that Islam is a religion.

What does that mean?

It means for one thing that adherents of many religions don't understand that God's Laws mean nothing unless they are written into the hearts of mankind. If that were only true, we wouldn't need external Laws and rulers to enforce them.

All those who say "an eye for an eye", enforce and repress people brutally to ensure that Sharia Law is enforced in the name of God completely 'miss the mark'. That is one definition of Sin, and that's why Jesus was so hard on the religious of His day. Those people didn't know Him then, and it's the same today. It's also serious error and trap that Christianity fell into centuries ago and eventually overcame(for the most part). It seems that much of Islam went the opposite way, deeper into darkness. The evidence of that is overwhelming.

God is not mocked no matter what we say or do. God knows the human heart. He is all-in-all, and justice will be handled by Him in His good time. It is absolutely certain that He doesn't want anyone to execute someone who converts to another faith, cover the head of a Woman to guard against lust, or kill children to glorify Him (a sick idea) because they are Jewish or other "infidels".
