Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: They must embrace Western Values

Either that or the Westerners have become dangerously ignorant. Just look at the way these people talk about everything and everyone that is different from them, here Islam and Muslims. Read that comment from that 15 year old kid and learn the way of civilized discussion.

Now first of all, since when did Qur'an use "a non-sensory, non-rational approach to knowledge"??! That was quite striking. For any "aware" person, it is nothing new to know that one of the most successful and morally stable cultures in the world come from the teachings of Qur'an, and here we have a someone talking about "Western Values". Western values...Individualism, Egalitarianism, Utilitarianism, Capitalism, and Consumerism?! Realized by the western philosophers themselves, so no need to whine about the authenticity, for if one really wants to know the truth, he honestly looks for it, rather then expecting it to be spoon fed. It would be better that J W Beasonj first does some honest research before writing articles. Just to start with, go and find out what approach the therapists are taking to help couples get out of their trouble relationships. And then go look what Qur'an says about the relationship between two people.

A person who doesn't know what actually happening today, (saying that no Muslim org. condemned the suicide bombings or the 911 attacks, how shallow and ignorant can one be?!) is indeed expected to make such comments about the history of Islam as Mr J W Beasonj did. "…Islam formerly embracing the Western values through Aristotle over 1,000 years ago…" . Such comments come from people looking for a reason to prove their "point" stubbornly, and finally finding it through the work of some Western historians and philologist who contradicted THEMSELVES numerous times in their own works.
