The case of Hamas' ripping off Mickey Mouse to brainwash the children

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Agnostic (United States), Jul 2, 2007 at 15:30

I was googling the story about Hamas ripping off Mickey Mouse to put on their tv station and came across a muslim forum. The non-Muslims wanted a debate, and I noticed a scarcity of Muslims decrying what Hamas had done. They either don't know about it (find that hard to believe), accept it, or choose to ignore it.

One member was like "Don't believe those Zionists lies. The Palestines are innocent. It is the Israelis who are the terrorists. We only kill combatants."

Another was like "Well if American kids can grow up with G.I. Joe, why shouldn't kids be taught to take up arms to defend their country? Violence isn't wrong." And quite a few were like "We want to see the entire world under one Islamic law."

It's just more finger pointing and propagation of hatred. Come on. I know there's got to be sensible Muslims out there. Show me where you are. Show me that it's not all about subjugating the world and suppressing women's rights.
